Solana Raises Mainnet Block Compute Limit to 100 Million Units in 66% Upgrade
Solana has increased its mainnet block compute capacity to 100M compute units per block, a 66% capacity boost enabled by the implementation of SIMD-0286.
On-chain activity shows Jupiter Exchange executed the first block above the previous 60M CU threshold, while Staking Finance secured the first block reaching approximately full utilization. The upgrade expands transaction throughput for trading and payment workflows every block.
