Nvidia Launches Open Secure AI Alliance With 30+ Tech Firms After Hugging Face Cyberattack

Nvidia and more than 30 technology companies launched the Open Secure AI Alliance, a new industry group focused on building and sharing open-source tools, models, data and research to secure software and AI agents. Nvidia said it will contribute open models, weights, data and research, including NOOA, an open agent framework from Nvidia Labs.

Companies named in posts about the alliance include Microsoft, IBM, Palantir, CrowdStrike, SpaceX and Hugging Face. Jensen Huang said attackers already have frontier AI and defenders need a frontier AI ecosystem. The initiative comes amid fallout from a recent cyberattack on Hugging Face and a broader debate over safeguards and restrictions for open AI models.

Doesn’t this fire you up? We’re gonna do it. We’re actually gonna do it; open source is going to diffuse this intelligence to everyone. Frontier closed labs will still make money but they won’t control the light cone. The recipe is commodit

Frontier open models have arrived. Building custom intelligence is now within reach. Data’s there, frontier open models are available, and (fragmented) AI compute is what we unify — so frontier teams build intelligence, faster.
