Sakana AI Adds Claude Code Interface to Fugu-Ultra v1.1 Coding Model
Sakana AI released a Claude Code-compatible interface for its Fugu-Ultra v1.1 artificial intelligence coding model, allowing developers to access the software within the terminal-based Claude Code workflow.
The update enables users to dynamically coordinate a diverse pool of state-of-the-art models for writing, debugging, and executing code rather than relying on a single base model. The integration expands upon the company’s July 24 launch of the Fugu-Ultra v1.1 model, which incorporated recent frontier models to improve performance across coding and reasoning benchmarks.
