Wistron Opens $700 Million Texas Plant to Produce Nvidia GB300 Boards and Vera Rubin Platforms

Wistron has opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, beginning production of Nvidia’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra compute boards. The 324,000-square-foot plant marks an investment commitment of approximately $700 million.

The facility is also establishing a dedicated manufacturing cell for the upcoming Vera Rubin Superchip, with Wistron targeting tens of thousands of boards per month by year-end. The expansion advances Nvidia’s broader strategy to produce up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure within the U.S. alongside partners including Foxconn, TSMC and Amkor. While the capacity buildout demonstrates a shift from component procurement to system-level assembly, it reflects supply-chain confidence in sustained demand through the next hardware generation rather than proof of immediate full customer procurement.
