Iranian Oil Tanker Enters Gulf of Oman Despite Alleged US Blockade
Reports said an Iranian oil tanker entered the Gulf of Oman from international waters on Thursday, in a move described as disregarding an alleged US blockade. One report said the vessel was heading back toward Iran.
A separate report identified the tanker as the AZHIN and said US Central Command had claimed to interdict and board it a week earlier. The reports provided no further details on the vessel or its cargo.
