Iran Fires Missiles and Drones at Bahrain and Kuwait, Targets 3 Sites It Calls US Facilities
Iran's Revolutionary Guards said Monday they targeted three sites they described as US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones, naming Al-Sakhir Air Base and Bin Salman Port in Bahrain and Arifjan Base in Kuwait. Kuwait's army said it was intercepting missiles and drones as sirens sounded across the country, while Bahrain's interior ministry said sirens sounded again there after state television reported air defenses responding to attacks.
Earlier Monday, Bahrain's Civil Aviation Authority said Iran had attacked the kingdom's civil air navigation systems, but the strike did not disrupt operations or air traffic. The Guards said the latest strikes were part of the 23rd wave of their "Nasr 2" operations and claimed they caused heavy damage.
