Sazerac Urges Brown-Forman Shareholders to Reconsider $15 Billion Takeover Offer
Sazerac sent a letter to Brown-Forman shareholders, urging them to reconsider a $15 billion takeover bid that the company previously rejected.
Brown-Forman did not disclose the terms of the latest offer. The Louisville, Kentucky-based distiller is also facing a direct appeal from Sazerac, the maker of Buffalo Trace and BuzzBallz, to secure the backing of the Brown family. The owner of Jack Daniel’s has yet to comment on the renewed proposal.
