AMC Entertainment posted second-quarter revenue of $1.6 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $321.4 million, marking record figures for the cinema operator in its 106-year history. The top line rose 14.2% year over year, driven by a 70% jump in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.

The report showed a wider net loss of $11.4 million, compared with $4.7 million in the prior year period, while free cash flow reached $190.1 million. Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron cited rising demand for premium screenings and tighter cost controls as factors behind the quarterly improvement, noting that year-to-date revenues have climbed 16.9%.
