TSMC Raises Foundry Prices For Advanced And Mature Chips Up To 10% In 2027
TSMC is raising foundry prices for both advanced and mature chip production by 5% to 10% in 2027 to cover rising costs for manufacturing materials and equipment, the Nikkei reported. For high-performance computing orders that exceed customers' original forecasts, the company will apply an additional premium of 10% to 15%.
The pricing negotiations began in June and concluded in July, with the new rates taking effect in early 2027. The adjustments also account for higher expenses related to the construction of new fabrication plants overseas.
