Nasdaq Tops Second-Quarter Earnings and Revenue Forecasts on $1.5 Billion in Sales

Nasdaq reported second-quarter revenue of $1.5 billion and adjusted earnings of $1.07 a share, topping consensus estimates of $1.4 billion and $0.98. The exchange posted double-digit year-over-year growth across all three business divisions, driven by a 38% increase in index revenue to $271 million and $1.16 billion in solutions sales.

The quarter also saw the exchange cross $1 trillion in index exchange-traded product assets under management and complete the listing of SpaceX, which management described as the largest initial public offering in company history. For the full year, Nasdaq guided non-GAAP operating expenses to between $2.53 billion and $2.57 billion, with a non-GAAP tax rate between 22.5% and 24.5%.
