Capital One Raises Dividend 33% and Posts $5.81 Adjusted Earnings Beat on Discover Revenue Growth
Capital One posted $4.73 of diluted earnings per share in the second quarter, beating analyst estimates by one cent, while adjusted earnings per share reached $5.81. Total net revenue climbed 27% to $15.9 billion, supported by a 29% increase in credit card revenue.
The bank raised its quarterly dividend to $0.80 a share, a 33% increase, and reported a 74% drop in credit loss provisions to $2.99 billion. Shares fell roughly 1% in after-hours trading.
