Hasbro Beats Q2 Earnings Estimate and Raises Annual Forecast on $500 Million Magic Revenue
Hasbro reported second-quarter revenue of $1.14 billion, beating analyst estimates, and raised its full-year guidance after Magic: The Gathering generated more than $500 million in quarterly revenue for the first time.
The company projected full-year adjusted operating margins between 25% and 26%, with adjusted EBITDA of $1.45 billion to $1.5 billion, and lifted constant-currency revenue growth expectations to 5% to 7%. While the trading card division and consumer products drove growth, entertainment revenue fell 20% and a network outage reduced sales by roughly $25 million. Hasbro also plans to increase utilization of its $1 billion share repurchase authorization.
