Nvidia Buys 4.5% Stake in Naver for $1 Billion to Finance Korean AI Data Centers

Nvidia will acquire a 4.5% stake in South Korean internet and cloud services firm Naver in a $1 billion investment financed through a third-party share issuance raising 1.48 trillion won.

The capital will fund a $9 billion data center and GPU infrastructure expansion managed by investment partner Brookfield. Naver will also cancel 4.9 million treasury shares valued at approximately 1 trillion won, with the buyback scheduled for Aug. 3.
