Toyota Spinoff Walden Robotics Raises $300M Seed Round at $1.1B Valuation
Walden Robotics raised a $300M seed round at a $1.1B valuation to finance the commercial launch of its humanoid robot business. The financing, co-led by Toyota and Deviation Capital, brings a Massachusetts-based Toyota robotics spin-off out of stealth after months of private development.
The round drew participation from Nvidia, Boeing and AE Ventures. Founded in January, the company began selling humanoid robots earlier this year and is already operating a general-purpose robot with an end-to-end policy inside a major North American factory.
