Bitcoin Reclaims $65,000 After June CPI Falls 0.4%
Bitcoin reclaimed $65,000 after softer U.S. inflation data, following an earlier rebound above $64,000. June CPI came in at 3.5%, below 3.8% expected, and fell 0.4% from the prior month, its biggest monthly drop since April 2020, easing fears of a near-term Fed rate hike.
Bitcoin was up about 2% after the data and at one point traded near $65,000. Ether rose 6.2% on the day and was about $25 below $1,900, a level last seen in early June.
