Databricks Raises $3 Billion in Coatue-Led Funding Round at $188 Billion Valuation
Coatue Management has led a $3 billion investment in data analytics software provider Databricks, valuing the company at $188 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.
The latest pricing marks a 40% increase from the firm’s $134 billion valuation in December, driven by surging demand for enterprise data analytics software linked to the artificial intelligence boom. Databricks surpassed a $5.4 billion annual revenue run rate earlier this year, with chief executive officer Ali Ghodsi stating that artificial intelligence product revenue reached more than $1.7 billion by June.
