Databricks Raises $3 Billion at $188 Billion Valuation in Coatue-Led Series M
Data analytics firm Databricks raised $3 billion in a Series M funding round led by Coatue Management, valuing the company at $188 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The new valuation marks a 40% increase from the company's $134 billion valuation set in December. Management said the firm now operates at a $6.9 billion annualized revenue run rate, up 80% year over year, with AI products generating more than $1.7 billion. The company will use the proceeds to expand three AI initiatives: Unity AI Gateway, the Genie AI assistant, and the Lakebase database.
