DeepSeek Raises $7.4 Billion to Reach $74 Billion Valuation After Revenue Hits $500 Million
DeepSeek has successfully closed a second funding round of $7.4 billion, valuing the Chinese artificial intelligence startup at approximately $74 billion. The latest capital injection follows reporting that the company’s annualized revenue has reached the $400 million to $500 million range.
The firm maintains a gross margin of more than 50% on access to its latest V4 model. The new funding structure is designed to raise U.S. dollar-denominated capital from overseas investors, with a particular focus on attracting investment from the Middle East, while keeping the founder in control of domestic operations. Investment banks have been hired to prepare for a listing on Shanghai’s STAR market, targeting an initial public offering in 2027.
