US Petroleum Inventories Drop 10.15 Million Barrels on Strategic Reserve and Diesel Draws
US petroleum inventories fell by 10.15 million barrels week to 1,517.1 million barrels, driven by a 6.2 million barrel draw from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
Commercial crude stocks rose by 3 million barrels, marking the first build in months. Headline declines were fueled by steep reductions in refined products, with diesel stocks falling by 5 million barrels and gasoline drawing down by 1.9 million barrels to sit 6% below the five-year average for the period. Refiner utilization held at 95.8%.
