Kuwait Intercepts 14 Missiles and Drones as Iran Says It Targeted US Sites in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain
Kuwait said its air defenses intercepted 3 ballistic missiles, 1 cruise missile and 10 drones at dawn on Thursday, Bahrain said it intercepted and destroyed several Iranian missile and drone attacks, and Jordan's military later said it intercepted 8 Iranian missiles with no casualties. Iran said it had targeted US sites in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain in response to a wave of US strikes on about 90 targets.
Bahrain's interior ministry said it sounded air raid sirens and urged people to head to the nearest safe place. Iran's army said the targets included a Patriot air defense system in Kuwait, an early warning satellite site in Qatar and US fuel storage facilities in Bahrain, while the US Embassy in Jordan issued a security alert after reports of missiles, drones or rockets were in Jordanian airspace.
