Tether Launches Native Bitcoin USDT on RGB Protocol in July

Tether is issuing its USDT stablecoin natively on the Bitcoin network using version 0.11.1 of the RGB protocol, with the commercial rollout led by UTEXO.

The integration marks USDT’s return to Bitcoin following its 2014 debut on the legacy Omni-Mastercoin standard. The network upgrade enables direct transfers between Bitcoin addresses and compatible wallets, with launch scheduled for July prior to Tether Wallet and exchange support.
