U.S. Software Job Postings Rise 15% Since Claude Code Debut, While Overall Listings Fall 7%
U.S. software development job postings on Indeed rose roughly 15% following the February 2025 launch of Claude Code, data from the Indeed Hiring Lab showed.
The software hiring gain contrasts with a 7% drop in all U.S. job listings tracked on the platform over the same period. Indications also show that roles most exposed to artificial intelligence, which previously recorded the steepest posting declines, are now driving the hiring rebound.
