PayPal Launches Native PYUSD Stablecoin on Polygon to Tap $2.6 Trillion Payments Volume
PayPal is launching native issuance of its PYUSD stablecoin on Polygon and integrating it into the blockchain’s Open Money Stack, enabling direct settlements for cross-border payments.
The OCC-regulated token is issued by Paxos and will operate on a network that has processed more than $2.6 trillion in stablecoin transactions. The integration aims to expand adoption of the dollar-pegged asset across broader payment applications.
