Microsoft 365 Copilot Makes OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Its Preferred Model
Microsoft 365 Copilot is now using OpenAI's GPT-5.6 as its preferred model, Sam Altman said, after OpenAI shipped the GPT-5.6 family.
The GPT-5.6 launch featured three models: Sol, Terra and Luna, with OpenAI emphasizing token efficiency and lower cost. Figures cited around the release said Sol scored 80 on the Coding Agent Index, 91.9% on Terminal-Bench and 53.6 on Agents' Last Exam, while Luna was priced at $1/$6 per 1M tokens and described as capable of doing similar work at a fraction of the price.
