OpenAI launched ChatGPT Work, a new agent in ChatGPT powered by Codex and GPT-5.6, and started rolling out its GPT-5.6 model family, Sol, Terra and Luna, across ChatGPT, Codex and the API. OpenAI said ChatGPT Work can take action across apps and files, stay with a project for hours and turn a goal into finished work, while Codex is now available inside ChatGPT.

On web and mobile, ChatGPT Work is rolling out first to Pro, Enterprise and Edu plans, with Plus and Business to follow in the next few days; the new desktop app with Chat, Work and Codex is available on every plan, including Free. OpenAI said GPT-5.6 Sol scored 53.6 on Agents' Last Exam, while separate benchmark results showed 73% on DeepSWE, 7.8% on ARC-AGI-3 and a lead on CritPt.
