Cline Launches $9.99 Subscription for Open Weight Coding Models

Cline has launched ClinePass, a flat monthly subscription priced at $9.99 that provides developers access to open-weight coding models at two to five times standard API rate limits. The service replaces the need for separate API keys across a curated set of providers, bundling usage into the Cline code assistant’s integrated development environment, command-line interface, and software development kit.

The subscription lineup currently includes GLM 5.2, DeepSeek V4 Pro, Kimi K2.7 Code, MiniMax M3, and Qwen 3.7. Cline introduced special promotional pricing, including $4.99 for a first month and a $1.99 option for users signing up directly through the CLI. While the pass is designed to lower the barrier to entry for developers shifting toward open-weight models, the company noted that the subscription retains a bring-your-own-key option and continues to support local model inference.
