Bitcoin ETFs Shed $295 Million as Ether ETFs Return to Inflows

cryptocrypto-markets 29 posts · 16 accounts

On July 1, U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a net outflow of $295 million, extending their losing streak to 10 consecutive days. The daily loss was offset by a shift in demand for Ether, as spot Ethereum ETFs posted $14.9 million in net inflows, ending a nine-day run of withdrawals. According to SoSoValue data, Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini ETF and BlackRock’s Ether ETF were the top single-day gainers in their respective asset classes.

Bitcoin funds have now shed $8.5 billion since May 6, with June marking the worst monthly outflow period since their launch in January 2024. The sustained selling pressure follows a difficult stretch for the cryptocurrency, which hit extreme sentiment readings and broke below key technical thresholds. Ether's return to inflows provides a brief reprieve for crypto funds after months where institutional capital rotated away from both major ETF vehicles amid shifting rate expectations and macroeconomic uncertainty.
