Rivian Raises 2026 Delivery Guidance to 65,000 Vehicles After Q2 Beat
Rivian reported stronger second-quarter deliveries and lifted its full-year 2026 outlook, citing growing demand for its electric vehicles and the start of shipments for its R2 SUV. The company delivered 12,194 vehicles in the second quarter, a 14.4% increase year over year, beating its own forecast of 9,000 to 11,000 units. Additionally, Rivian raised its guidance for 2026 deliveries to between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles, up from a previous range of 62,000 to 67,000.
The upgraded guidance tops analyst estimates of 63,000 units, driven by sales momentum across its Electric Delivery Van (EDV) and R1 vehicle lines. The delivery beat comes as the automaker begins ramping up production and distributing its lower-cost R2 model, which the company views as critical to expanding its consumer market share.
