The average investor in BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (IBIT) is down approximately 40%, according to ETF Store President Nate Geraci, who cited a Bloomberg report. IBIT, launched in 2024, previously attracted over $44.4 billion in assets and saw its average investor reach a 30% gain by mid-2025. The sharp reversal follows a recent decline in Bitcoin, which Geraci described as a “brutal entry experience” for mainstream buyers entering the crypto market via ETFs.
