Anthropic Launches Claude Tag for Slack Teams
AI startup Anthropic launched Claude Tag, a new feature that allows teams to integrate its Claude language model directly into Slack as a multiplayer agent. Available today in beta for Enterprise and Team plan subscribers, Claude Tag lets users add the model to designated channels where it can read message history, use approved tools, and autonomously break down delegated tasks into workflows.
The launch scales Anthropic's previous Claude Code developer tool from solo coding to collaborative environments. In shared channels, the model operates under its own digital identity and credentials rather than borrowing user permissions, allowing it to run isolated sandboxes for tasks like writing code, triaging bugs, and drafting incident postmortems. The San Francisco-based startup reported that its internal version currently generates 65% of the product team's code, underscoring a shift toward AI agents embedded within enterprise communication platforms.
