Jane Street has built a portfolio of private-company stakes worth $20 billion, including an Anthropic holding it bought in 2024 from the estate of FTX, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Founded in 2000 by three former Susquehanna International Group executives and an IBM developer, Jane Street produces the bulk of its profits by making markets, according to the Journal.
