businessprediction-marketsvc 10 posts · 10 accounts

Kalshi is in talks to raise a new funding round at a valuation of approximately $40 billion, nearly doubling the valuation from a $1 billion fundraise it closed last month. The prediction market platform aims to close the deal as early as the third quarter of 2026, according to the Financial Times.

Investors including Coatue, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz and Morgan Stanley participated in the previous round. Trading volume at the exchange-based platform surged to more than $17 billion in the past month, up from less than $5 billion a year earlier. Sports betting contracts accounted for roughly 65% of that total.
