US Bitcoin ETFs Record $1.79 Billion in Weekly Outflows

cryptocrypto-marketsbusinessstocks 8 posts · 5 accounts

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs posted $1.79 billion in net outflows for the week ending June 27, marking their second-largest weekly redemption on record and extending the sell-off to seven consecutive weeks. Daily flow data from analytics firm SoSoValue show the withdrawals accumulated steadily, with $696 million leaving on Thursday alone. The sustained capital flight has now erased nearly $1.9 billion in investor capital from the largest crypto exchange-traded funds over the latest trading week.

The prolonged redemption streak has pushed the average investor in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) underwater, according to Fintech Frank. Analyst Frank Cappelleri noted that the average IBIT holder is down roughly 40% from their peak valuation, reversing a 30% gain they held as recently as mid-2025. Broader exchange-traded fund sentiment mirrored the crypto market distress, as spot ether ETFs also reported a record seventh straight week of net redemptions.
