Strategy Buys 520 Bitcoin for $34.9 Million, Raises USD Reserve to $1.4 Billion

cryptobusiness 25 posts · 17 accounts

Strategy bought 520 Bitcoin for $34.9 million at an average price of $67,068 each, taking its holdings to 847,363 BTC, and increased its USD reserve by $300 million to $1.4 billion. The company said it plans to continue replenishing the reserve to support the credit quality of its Digital Credit securities.

An 8-K filing showed Strategy sold 2.71 million MSTR shares between June 15 and June 21 through its at-the-market program, generating $335.5 million in net proceeds, part of which funded the purchase. The filing listed total Bitcoin holdings acquired for $64.1 billion at an average cost of $75,651 per coin; Michael Saylor had hinted at another purchase a day earlier with a post reading, “Looks better with more dots.”
