Anthropic Resets Claude Usage Caps Across All Plans While Fable 5 Access Remains Limited
A publicly circulated update on Friday said Anthropic had reset five-hour and weekly usage limits across all Claude plans, even though wider access to Fable 5, one of the startup’s latest AI models, remained unresolved. A separate post from a subscriber pointed to June 22 as a potential cutoff for Fable access in Claude Code, Anthropic’s coding product.
Anthropic suspended Fable 5 and Mythos 5 last week after a US export-control directive barred access by foreign nationals, and the company has been negotiating with the White House over security concerns and a technical framework for judging jailbreaks. Access to Mythos Preview has meanwhile continued for a limited group of defensive cybersecurity users through Project Glasswing, Anthropic’s controlled-access program, with Booz Allen Hamilton and Tenable among the participants disclosed this week.

@zookoHonestly now the analogy is growing on me. Americans (unlike almost everyone else) do not require permission from their government to own a gun. Should be the same with access to Fable. :-)
@tolyDario is getting what he wants. He asked mythos for a way to force the government to make AI regulated, and he executed the plan perfectly. Now no startup can build a mythos level model.
@kimmonismusThat sounds very bad for a soon-to-be re-release of Fable 5. "Trump administration officials tell WIRED that if Anthropic wants to rerelease Fable 5, it will need to ensure the model's guardrails can't be circumvented. Security experts say

@jukan05My God, I’m honestly beyond disappointed with the Trump administration. SK Telecom has absolutely nothing to do with Huawei or China. In fact, the only Korean telecom operator that uses Huawei equipment is LG U+.
