Intel Appoints Former SK Hynix CEO Seok-Hee Lee EVP of Intel Foundry
Intel appointed former SK Hynix CEO Seok-Hee Lee as executive vice president of Intel Foundry, giving him responsibility for advanced packaging and back-end manufacturing. Naga Chandrasekaran will continue to lead front-end technology development and front-end manufacturing, while Navid Shahriari will retire after 37 years at the company.
The move adds leadership depth as Intel pushes to expand its contract chip manufacturing business and compete more directly with global foundry rivals, including TSM and Samsung. Chandrasekaran will also retain design enablement and the end-to-end customer and business-facing functions that support foundry growth.
