Solana Tops Coinbase, Kraken in Spot Volume With $11.6 Billion of Weekly DEX Trading
Solana processed $11.6 billion of spot decentralized-exchange volume last week, more than NYSE American's $10.5 billion. Separate figures circulated by market participants showed the blockchain exceeding Coinbase and Kraken on both a daily and weekly spot-volume basis, trailing only Binance and Bybit. Tokenized equities, or blockchain-based versions of stocks, generated $116 million of volume in a day on Solana, equal to 94% of the total across blockchains.
The broader tokenized-asset market has climbed past $10 billion from under $1 billion about a year earlier. Other comparisons described tokenized-equities trading on Solana as operating 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and showed SPCX, a tokenized equity instrument, trading at a 0.91% premium to spot on Solana versus about 50% below spot on Ethereum. Ethereum still led in tokenized-stock issuance, though the gap with Solana and BNB Chain, Binance's blockchain network, was described as small.
