SpaceX Gets 2x Long and Short ETFs as 11 Leveraged Funds Queue Up
Leveraged exchange-traded funds tied to Elon Musk's SpaceX began trading Monday, adding daily long and short vehicles linked to the stock days after the company's record $75 billion initial public offering. Products now live included Leverage Shares' SPCH and SSPC, which target plus or minus 2x daily returns, and GraniteShares' SPAL and SNK; earlier in the day, ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said 11 leveraged SpaceX ETFs from seven issuers were pending listing.
The launch broadens a rapid post-IPO ETF buildup around SpaceX. The stock rose 19% in its Nasdaq debut to a market value above $2 trillion, and it had already been added to 40 ETFs within a day of listing. The new leveraged products are designed to magnify the stock's daily move, extending SpaceX exposure from conventional fund ownership into higher-risk short-term trading instruments.
