Iran Exports Nearly 18 Million Barrels of Crude in Five Days
Ship-tracking estimates put Iran's crude exports at about $1.44 billion, or nearly 18 million barrels, over the past five days. The figure adds to a resumption in Iranian oil sailings after data earlier this week showed at least five Iran-flagged vessels crossing the US blockade line in the Gulf of Oman.
The vessels included Hero II, Diona and Sonia I and marked Iran's first crude exports in about two months. Tehran has said maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz will return to normal over a specified period under a mechanism to be developed with Oman, though activity in the waterway had remained below normal.
