Artificial Analysis Ranks Z.ai's GLM-5.2 Top Open-Weight Model at 51

Z.ai's GLM-5.2 has become the leading open-weight model on Artificial Analysis's Intelligence Index v4.1, scoring 51, 11 points above GLM-5.1, and ranking ahead of MiniMax-M3 and DeepSeek V4 Pro, both at 44, and Kimi K2.6 at 43. Artificial Analysis said GLM-5.2 also led open-weight models on GDPval-AA v2, its benchmark for real-world agentic performance, with 1524 versus 1418 for MiniMax-M3 and 1328 for DeepSeek V4 Pro, roughly level with GPT-5.5 at 1514.

The update builds on Z.ai's release earlier this week of GLM-5.2 as an MIT-licensed model for coding and agentic tasks, with a 1 million-token context window, up from 200,000 on GLM-5.1, and first-party API prices of $1.4 per 1 million input tokens, $4.4 per 1 million output tokens and $0.26 per 1 million cached tokens. Artificial Analysis said the 744 billion-parameter model, with 40 billion active parameters, sits on the Pareto frontier of intelligence versus cost per task at about $0.46, though it used 43,000 output tokens per Intelligence Index task, up from 26,000 for GLM-5.1.
