Chinese AI Firm Zhipu Surges 48% After JPMorgan Raises Target to HK$1,400
Shares of Zhipu surged as much as 47.6% in Hong Kong on Monday after JPMorgan raised its price target on the Chinese AI firm to HK$1,400 from HK$950, kept an overweight rating and downgraded rival MiniMax.
The move also followed US export controls that led Anthropic to disable its Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5 models for all users after foreign-national access was restricted. Zhipu said on June 13 that it had opened its flagship GLM-5.2 model to all Coding Plan users and planned to release the model weights under an MIT license.

@deanwballI can’t tell if this is lawfare against Anthropic in particular or extreme national-security hawkery. Regardless, it is simply cartoonish.
@andrewcurran_Apparently the administration asked Anthropic to not release Mythos 5 or Fable 5 at all, and this is a reaction to them doing it anyway.
