ASML CEO Says Musk’s TeraFab Will Test Supply Chain as AI Buildout Keeps Chips Supply-Limited
ASML Chief Executive Officer Christophe Fouquet said Elon Musk’s TeraFab is a major wafer fab project and a new opportunity that will test the chip-equipment maker’s supply chain. Fouquet compared the project’s size to the millions-of-wafers DRAM fab projects under way in South Korea and said ASML has to make sure it avoids supply constraints when servicing such projects.
Fouquet said worldwide demand for AI infrastructure remains enormous and that AI and semiconductor markets are likely to stay supply-limited for quite a few years because the infrastructure buildup is huge. He added that customers continue to give ASML longer-term visibility and that the company still sees very strong demand.
