Ideogram 4.0 Debuts at No. 8 on Open Weights Text-to-Image Leaderboard
Ideogram 4.0, the company's first open weights release, debuted at No. 8 on Artificial Analysis's Open Weights Text to Image leaderboard and No. 31 in its broader text-to-image ranking. The model generates 2K-by-2K images and supports structured JSON prompts, multilingual text rendering, bounding-box layout control and transparent backgrounds.
The benchmark used the Quality tier served through Ideogram's API, while Ideogram said the publicly accessible open weights model is essentially the same, with additional safety training and quantization. Ideogram charges $30, $60 and $100 per 1,000 images for its Turbo, Default and Quality API tiers; the weights are free to download for evaluation and non-commercial use, and commercial self-hosting requires a separate license.
