Bitcoin Treasury Company Nakamoto Sells 600 Bitcoin to Repay $45 Million Debt, Authorizes $25 Million Buyback
Nakamoto, the Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin treasury company, said it sold about 600 Bitcoin and related derivatives, generating roughly $48 million of net proceeds to repay $45 million of debt. Its board also authorized a share repurchase program of up to $25 million of common stock, and the company said it still holds about 4,468 BTC in reserve.
Nakamoto also said it refinanced its remaining 165 million USDT loan with Kraken, extending 105 million USDT of principal to June 2027. The company said the changes could reduce annual financing costs by roughly $4 million and improve collateral flexibility.
