Vanguard Overtakes BlackRock as Largest US ETF Issuer at $4.39 Trillion
Vanguard has overtaken BlackRock as the largest US exchange-traded fund issuer, with $4.39 trillion in US ETF assets versus BlackRock’s $4.36 trillion. The change reshuffles leadership at the top of the $15.2 trillion US ETF industry.
The crossover ends BlackRock’s 23-year run atop the US ETF market. BlackRock remains larger globally in ETF assets and in total assets under management, limiting the shift to the US market even as Vanguard takes the top domestic position.
