Nvidia Keeps Spectrum-X Ethernet Co-Packaged Optics Switch on Track for 2H 2026 Volume Production

Nvidia said its co-packaged optics product delivery plan for the second half of 2026 remains on schedule, with the Spectrum-X Ethernet switch set to begin volume production and customer ramp-up in that period. The company said the initial rollout will be limited, targeting leading supercomputing customers rather than a full network-wide replacement.

Nvidia said production would ramp steadily in 2027. It also said the inter-rack optical interconnect roadmap for its Rubin server platform remains unchanged, and that co-packaged optics and traditional pluggable optical modules will coexist over the long term.
