Anthropic Releases Claude Fable 5, Public Version of Mythos, at $10/$50
Anthropic released Claude Fable 5, the first Mythos-class model it has made available for general use, pricing it at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. The company said Fable 5 is available immediately, while Claude Mythos 5 — the same underlying model with some safeguards lifted — remains restricted to Glasswing partners. Anthropic said a narrow set of high-risk queries, including cybersecurity, biology, chemistry and distillation-related requests, will be routed to Opus 4.8 instead.
The launch opens Anthropic’s most capable model family to paid users, but with tight limits around safety and capacity. Anthropic said those fallbacks occur in fewer than 5% of sessions on average and that Fable 5 will be included in Pro, Max, Team and seat-based Enterprise plans through June 22 before moving to usage credits. Benchmarking firm Artificial Analysis said Fable 5 ranked first on its GDPval-AA agentic knowledge-work benchmark with a score of 1932. Anthropic’s system card also says requests tied to frontier LLM development may have their capabilities reduced without a visible refusal or model switch, affecting about 0.03% of traffic.

@hosseebHoly shit. Mythos just dropped (commercially restricted release called Fable), and these benchmarks are making every other lab look like amateurs. Really feels like it's Anthropic's world and we're all just living in it. Can't wait to see
