Trahan and Obernolte Release Bipartisan Federal AI Strategy Draft, Seek Input
Representative Lori Trahan and Rep. Obernolte released a bipartisan discussion draft to create a federal AI strategy, opening a feedback process on how the US should oversee its most powerful AI models while protecting American workers and supporting innovation.
The lawmakers asked for comments at GAAIA@mail.house.gov. Questions around the draft include the independence of the CAISI director, a role described as having many key responsibilities under the framework.
