Tether is leading an up to $1.4 billion Series C financing for Germany's NEURA Robotics, an AI-powered humanoid robot maker, in what the companies described as one of the largest private investment rounds in humanoid robotics. The Financial Times reported the round values NEURA at about $7 billion and includes Qualcomm, Amazon and Nvidia among the investors.

Tether said it will integrate its open-source Wallet Development Kit into NEURA's ecosystem to add self-custodial wallet functionality to robots, while NEURA will deploy Tether's QVAC edge-first AI runtime so models can run locally on-device rather than through remote cloud infrastructure. The companies said the partnership is aimed at pairing payments software and on-device AI execution with NEURA's robots.
