Jeff Bezos's Industrial AI Startup Prometheus Raises $12 Billion at $41 Billion Valuation
Jeff Bezos's industrial AI startup Prometheus has raised $12 billion in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at roughly $41 billion. Co-CEO Vik Bajaj said the company is building 'artificial engineers,' a set of AI tools designed to help engineers move from idea to production faster.
Prometheus has mostly operated in stealth since launching in November and has shared few details about its objectives or product pipeline. Bezos said he participated in the financing and that the startup needed to raise a 'significant' amount because the work is compute-intensive; he added Prometheus could eventually become a customer of Amazon's cloud business as its capacity needs grow.
